Junior Development

The Junior Development Series is up and running. Check the USAT-SE website for the next race and see how you can earn points and prizes!

USAT-SE is currently seeking Junior Athletes for the first Southeast Regional Junior Development Team. If you are interested in joining, please email kim.bramblett@gmail.com.

TRI-Peachtree City Triathlon - August 26th - is the only race in the Southeast Region that has an ITU developmental wave. If you are interested in participating and can race youth elite, junior or U23, email kim.bramblett@gmail.com to see how you can race for free.

If you haven't put your race results and information on the athlete profiler, now is the time to do so. Registering with the profiler gives coaches and the national office a way to keep track of your results and email you about camps and clinics that may be of interest. Look under the Junior Development section on the SE website.

USAT-SE Race Director Program

Race Directors, what is our job and how can we help each other.

Whether we are a volunteer, club driven or professional race director, we all put in countless, and sometimes thankless hours of our own time and effort into our events. We are the driving force behind the amazing and continued growth of multi-sports. Without events, most athletes would not have goals. We, race directors, provide for our participants a reason to have goals/races! We inspire people to be the best they can be by developing a lifestyle of fun and fellowship through sport, while attaining healthy and happy outlooks on life. All that and more is offered every time we put on our hats and for the day become race directors.

What can USAT-SE do for you? USAT-SE is now offering a race director program:

Message Forum: fellowship, share ideals, obtain advice, ask for help at rd.usat-se.org/forums.

Help with calendar clearing: the first weekend of June had at least 5 USAT-SE sanctioned multisport events, several non-sanctioned and many other BIG non-multisport. Can we change that, we can try?

"Race Day Tent" program: each SE Board members has been trying to get to as many races as possible with USAT-SE tents. We are trying to help promote all the new USAT-SE programs and your races.

USAT-SE race promotion: Need a little extra advertisement, simply drop your race applications in the mail to us (you can find the board members at http://www.usat-se.org). We will carry yours and only USAT-SE sanctioned forms race to race and carry them for you!

Complimentary Race Entry Fees: sort of an RD exchange program, we all allow each other complimentary entries into our races. This program is solicited to USAT-SE race directors only! We help each other out with no entry fee and the bonus to the race is the friends we each bring that pay for their entry.

Equipment help: Possibly rentals or referrals of who has what and possible exchanges/trades

For information or follow up with this program: Contact Therese Bynum, USAT-SE Board member, Secretary. therese@team-magic.com or 205-595-8633.
